Sarah Lawrence Seligman

Moved to Seattle in 2012 from Arizona, where she had studied Art History and African-American Studies at Northern Arizona University. Here in Seattle she apprenticed under talented mentors to learn a French style of haircutting; which focus on the individual’s head and face shapes, it has a softer and more organic approach to cutting compared to other styles. (All Haircutting techniques are wonderful and learning them provides more tools for our technique tool belt.) She has also learned classic balayage and more modern hair painting techniques. She’s obsessed with all things hair, especially dimensional work, BALAYAGE! Being a stylist allows her to be independent and express her creativity everyday. She rented a chair from Belle Marie Salon until they moved to Kirkland. She and Laura used this moment to open Salon Filament! This is her first store front salon.
